About Us — Nairaseed
Who we are

Money wisdom,
planted in Africa.

Whether you're saving your first ₦100k, planning a move abroad, growing your career, or investing in something that lasts, Nairaseed was built for that conversation.

Our mission
To help everyday Nigerians feel confident about money, at home, abroad, in their careers, and at every stage of their lives.
Our story

We started because no one was writing for us

Nairaseed grew out of a simple, shared frustration: the best personal finance content online wasn't built with Nigerians in mind. It assumed a different currency, different institutions, different problems.

We were trying to budget in Naira, invest on the NGX, plan a relocation abroad, and grow our careers in a rapidly shifting economy, all at the same time. The answers we needed weren't in the places we were looking.

So we built a space where those conversations could happen honestly, about saving when inflation bites, about navigating immigration paperwork, about asking for a raise, about making your first investment without losing your head.

We write for the Nigerian who is curious, ambitious, and quietly working on building something real, even when the system doesn't make it easy. That person deserves good information told with warmth, not jargon.

What we stand for

The six things that shape everything we do

01
You deserve plain language
Money is complicated enough without jargon making it worse. We translate every concept into words that feel human, never condescending and never dumbed down.
02
Nigeria is not an afterthought
Every article is rooted in Nigerian reality: Naira figures, CBN policy, the NGX, the FIRS, the actual banks and apps you use every day.
03
We are in your corner
We are not owned by a bank or a broker. We do not have a financial product to sell you. Our only job is to help you understand your options clearly.
04
Honesty, even when it's uncomfortable
We don't hype investments or paint unrealistic pictures. If something carries risk, and most things do, we say so, every time, clearly.
05
Mistakes get fixed publicly
When we get something wrong, we correct it with a visible notice on the article. No quiet edits, no pretending it didn't happen.
06
We're thinking long-term with you
This is not a get-rich-quick community. We're here for readers building something real and durable, one good decision at a time.

How we work

We take trust seriously

We know that when you read something on Nairaseed, you might use it to make a real decision. That responsibility matters to us, and it shapes how we research, write, and fact-check everything we publish.

We are a media brand, not a marketing platform. Every article goes through editorial review. We cite our sources, disclose commercial relationships, and keep opinion clearly separate from fact.

Research-backed writing
Every claim is sourced. We link to primary sources: CBN circulars, NGX data, official government publications, not just other blogs.
Disclosed commercial relationships
If we earn from an affiliate link or a sponsored placement, we say so clearly, at the top of the article. No hidden promotions.
Public corrections policy
Errors are corrected with a visible notice on the article. We do not quietly delete or rewrite. Transparency matters more than appearances.
Not financial advice
Our content is educational. We do not tell you what to buy or sell. For decisions specific to your situation, we always recommend speaking with a licensed professional.
