9 Children's Privacy
Nairaseed is a financial media platform intended for adults. Our content — covering investment, personal finance, business, and immigration — is directed at readers aged 18 and over.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately at privacy@nairaseed.com and we will delete the information promptly.
10 International Data Transfers
Nairaseed is operated from Nigeria. However, some of our third-party service providers (including Google and Hostinger) process data on servers located outside Nigeria — including in the United States and the European Union.
Where personal data is transferred outside Nigeria, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place as required by the NDPA 2023, including:
- Using service providers with adequate data protection frameworks (e.g., EU-US Data Privacy Framework, Standard Contractual Clauses)
- Ensuring transfers are to countries with adequate data protection laws
- Obtaining your explicit consent where required
Google's data processing terms and applicable transfer mechanisms apply to data processed through Google Analytics and Google AdSense.
11 Security
We take the security of your personal data seriously and implement appropriate technical and organisational measures, including:
- HTTPS encryption on all pages — data transmitted to and from the site is encrypted in transit
- Server-side API key storage — sensitive keys (exchange rate API, newsletter API) are stored on the server and never exposed in page source
- WordPress security practices — nonce verification, input sanitisation, and regular updates
- Hostinger infrastructure security — managed by our hosting provider with physical and network-level protections
- Limited data access — only authorised staff can access personal data, on a need-to-know basis
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by the NDPA 2023.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page
- Notify newsletter subscribers by email of significant changes
- Post a notice on our homepage where appropriate
We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of nairaseed.com after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
